Rockledge Design Studios - Furniture & Accessory Designs - featuring Christopher Royal and Fred Garbotz. Christopher Royal is one of the furniture and accessory designers for Rockledge Design Studios which is based in Florida. The chair designs you will see in this section are based on Royal's miniature chair sculptures. Combining Christopher Royal's designs with Rockledge's quality furniture engineering and construction capabilities, they have been able to create what has become one of the company's most popular series. Fred Garbotz, born in Rhode Island, has worked mainly in metal as an art form. He originally started with copper and brass but he has since then, evolved into using steel and aluminum and combines metals with glass creating pieces that marry form and function as he believes art should be fun. "To me, my art is fun. Using the human body in a simplified form, my furniture becomes more than function. I like to think that there is an underlying personality in each piece that speaks out to you in a light and friendly way."
